Sustainability - Three Pillars
In the year 1987, the United Nations Brundtland Commission defined sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” This ideology was prescribed in order to maintain a balance within our system where the stability remains and our life on earth keeps on prospering. To specify this system, the ideology of sustainability has been rests on three pillars: Environmental Sustainability, Social Sustainability and Economic Sustainability.
